Hi,
I noticed, today, the new SU DO KU puzzle series, with a reference to Sudexel rather than sudoku-xls.com in the copyright acknowledgement. I must say, the puzzle today is much more doable. The last few from the old series only had 19 digits and were, in my opinion, impossible to solve. Well done Asian Age. The 1st of the new series looks good, and I finished it in my tea break, this morning (London Time).

I've also started the SU DO KU 2 puzzle, but it's definitely more difficult, as it should be, so I hope I'll finish it on the way home on the tube this evening.
Cheers

Hi,
Am I talking to myself? I've been doing the new series of SU DO KU in The Asian Age for the last week now and they're great. They look and feel different to the old ones. Is it just me or has anyone else noticed?

Hi Pali,
You're not alone. Deccan Chronicle is printing a link to this site, from today (Thursday), so we should get many more visitors over the next few days. Perhaps The Asian Age will let its readers know about us too! If, as it seems, you live in London and you like Sudoku puzzles you could check out the Just Sudoku publications mentioned elsewhere. They're great, especially the Just Sudoku Master book an you should be able to find them at a newsagent near you.

Hi,

They have. I noticed today, under the sudoku 2 on page 15, a note about this forum. Cool

When I try http://asianage.com and click on the sudoku link I get stuff about donors, and a line saying Sudoku description.

But no puzzles.

The puzzles show up when I try the link for the Deccan Chronicle.

Jeff,

The Deccan Chronicle website is better. The same puzzles are printed on the same day in both newspapers, so it doesn't matter which one you look at. I have subscribed to the Deccan Chronicle ePaper which is free and gives me a high resolution printable copy of the Su·do·ku & Su·do·ku 2. The puzzles are usually found around pages 8 or 9.

The Su·do·ku 2 yesterday (Thursday 28 Feb) is rather a good one. It only has 19 digits in the unsolved puzzle (very sparse indeed), but it can be solved using relatively simple logic. Today's Su·do·ku2 puzzle (Friday 29 Feb), however, is a different matter. It has 21 digits. I challenge anyone to solve it, with a pen & paper, using logic alone. I think bifurcation will be necessary.

Hmpf. Trev "carps" that you have no link to his site. Well look at the other site of the coin. Does he have a link to your site? Laughing

Actually I could provide some goodwill by adding BOTH your sites (sudoku-xls.com and sudokutanto.net) in addition to forums.sudexel.com, to the links in Yahoo's SW group.

I didn't see any sudoku on pages 8 or 9 of the Deccan Chronicle. Maybe they moved it, or eliminated it.

There's not even a search feature, where I could type in sudoku.

I did not see any sudoku in the Deccan Chronicle e-paper

But I did see a sudoku and a sudoku 2 in the Asian Age e-paper.

Do you think I need to appraise folks in Yahoo's puzzles and puzzleteasers group about these newspapers and both of them have e-papers? Loads of solvers from India in those two groups.
